Try the official location service
Use Apple Find My or Google Find My Device when available. Mark the device as lost and display a safe contact method. Do not travel to an unsafe location to recover it yourself.
Secure important accounts
Change passwords for email, banking, social media and password managers if the device was unlocked or account access may be exposed. Revoke suspicious sessions.
Contact the mobile operator
Ask the operator to suspend or replace the SIM. Discuss any available device-blocking process and keep the service reference number.
Collect ownership evidence
Save the IMEI, serial number, invoice, retail box photographs, device photographs, payment receipt and account screenshots.
Create an incident report
Record the date, time, place and circumstances. File a police report where appropriate, then submit a structured lost-device report to IMEI Alert.
Use IMEI Alert responsibly
IMEI Alert provides registry and case information that is available through its own reviewed workflow. It does not promise live tracking, universal operator data or guaranteed recovery.
